Simple Sausage Roll

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

3 sheets butter puff pastry
500g Olga’s Fine Foods Chevapchichi
1 egg, lightly beaten
½ cup sesame seeds, black or white
Spicy tomato relish for serving

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Cut the pastry sheets in half and lay the chevapchichi’s along the centre of the pastry.
  3. Lightly brush one edge with beaten egg.
  4. Roll up to enclose filling, then brush the top of the roll with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cut each roll into 6 pieces.
  5. Place on trays, seam side down. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
  6. Serve warm with spicy fruit chutney.
